For what crime was Nasir Jamshed convicted?

Nasir Jamshed, 30, was sentenced by a Manchester court to 17 months in prison in February this year. He had admitted to contacting Pakistani cricketers during the Pakistan Super League and offering them bribes.

In the same case, two other accomplices of Nasir Jamshed, Yousuf Anwar and Muhammad Ijaz, were sentenced to three years, four months and two and a half years respectively.

Earlier in 2018, the Pakistan Cricket Board had also banned Nasir Jamshed for ten years.

Two Pakistani cricketers Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif were also found involved in the scandal.

Sharjeel Khan has returned to the cricket field after completing his two-and-a-half-year ban, while Khalid Latif was banned for five years.
